Harrison Mills International Nature Photographic Contest

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY


Closing Date: July 31, 2015
Judging Date: August 15, 2015
Projected Exhibition: November, 2015.
Awards: November, 2015

1.The contest is open to all photographers around the world. It will be conducted in accordance with CAPS requirements. However, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization, or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and conditions.

2.Each entrant is entitled to submit a maximum of 4 digital images on Nature subject.

3.Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of object via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition and the events associated with the Season of the Eagle & Salmon . This may include low resolution posting on a website. The organizer assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright. Images may be altered by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates.

4.There will be one Category: Nature.

5.Image size: Maximum image width (horizontal) is 1400 pixels and maximum image height (vertical) is 1050 pixels. Save your .jpg images using the maximum image quality without producing files larger than 2 MB.

6.Colour space: Use the sRGB colour space for your image files to provide the best quality under the projection conditions used for judging the exhibition and producing the exhibition show.

7.File names: Files are automatically renamed by upload script.

8.The maker’s name and the image title should not be visible on the images.

9.Words such as “Untitled” and “No Title” are not acceptable as part or all of an image’s title, nor are camera capture filenames or titles consisting of only numbers.

11.1400x1050 Monitor will be used for judging and 1400x1050 Projector for audience viewing.

12. Awards:
Gold (1) Gold Medal and Cash $500 CAD

Silver (1) Sliver Medal and Cash $300 CAD

Bronze (1) Bronze Medal and Cash $200 CAD

Honorable Mentions: (5) Ribbon and Cash $50 CAD

Best image of the Show(1): Prize: TBA

13.Submitting entries: All digital files must be submitted online using the digital entry form. After you have carefully read these instructions, and after checking the file-size and file-names, click here www.eaglephotos.ca/entry.htm to fill out the digital entry form, attach your files and submit them. Digital entries on CD/DVD via postal mail will not be accepted.

14.An entrant’s four images will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging for that section.

15.Entry fee: All participants will be charged an entry fee of $15 CAD. Payment by Paypal only to: paypal@chungai.ca and mention your full name and country as transfer information. Entries received without fees will not be judged and results will not be sent. Fee must be received by the closing date.

16.Entry status: The list of the entry fees and files received will be published on the website and the status will be updated bi-weekly. Please check the status of your entries on the website. The acceptance will be the top 50 score.

17.The judges' decisions are irrevocable.

18.Files will not be sent back.

19.Cases not mentioned will be settled by the organizers.
